OK so obviously hating sports because of this would be ridiculous but it made a good headline. Woo journalism!

Anyway, unless you have been living under a rock you have probably heard about Michael Vick being indicted on animal cruelty charges for participating in dog fighting. The alleged participation includes all manner of fucked up things like killing 8 dogs who either lost a “fight” or failed to show the “fighting spirit,” as well as a bunch of other disturbing shit that I would rather not think about anymore.

So… will a star athlete in a multi-billion dollar industry pay the consequences for being connected to this madness? Who knows. BUT I personally find it offensive how athletes on all levels (from kids playing little league to high school football stars to NBA and NFL stars) are often (read: usually) held in higher regard than the rest of society. SO… the lovely Mrs. Lewis sent me this link to the Humane Society where you can send an email to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to demand that Vick be suspended - Click here to send an email and/or you can call him at (212) 450-2000.

I know this isn’t a fun, happy, kindercore-y post but hey, sometimes shit sucks.
