Could Watchmen possibly not suck?
So Watchmen is probably as great as everybody says it is. A couple weeks ago I reread it for the first time in six or seven years, and I had kinda forgotten how thoroughly the symbolism permeated the damn thing. It’s definitely not the most subtle book, but since it’s still, y’know, a comic, that’s excusable.
Anyway, the dude what made that sweaty brodown 300 is hard at work on the film adaptation of Watchmen, and although the prospects for a quality movie are thus unlikely, some recent set photos posted over at Comics Can Be Good are reassuring. If the script is as faithful as the set design then maybe the movie will be pretty good after all.
